Volkswagon Jetta

After what felt like forever searching for the right car on the internet. I finally found one at a dealership in another state. It was a 2001 Black Volkswagon Jetta, low mileage, in great shape, and of course in the exact price range I needed. According to the dealership, it was a one owner car. Yeah right, was my thought. Well, I did buy it. I have been the proud owner for almost a year. After driving it off the lot with in a matter of weeks, things started to just fall off. The cup holder in front lost some small parts but still worked. The seats started not wanting to go back and forth or up and down. Then one day the drivers side window went down and never went back up. This was a problem since the windows are power. I took it to the shop, one week and $500.00 later it was fixed. Since then it has been running smooth with the exceptions of maintenance related problems. I do have to say that it is a great car for room and especially gas mileage. I just recently saw that the Volkswagon Jetta in on the list for great high mileage cars for the high price of gas these days. I guess considering the gas prices these days, I'm glad I didn't give up and sell it. There is one little mystery though about the Volkswagon Jettas though. For some odd reason,the inside always smells like a melted Crayola Crayon. It doesn't matter if it's 100 or 1 degree outside. Others have told me that theirs ssmell like it and ones newer than mine. Huh, go figure.
